As mention above, we wonder how many of you actually know what greenhouse effects are, what their effects toward the earth.
The greenhouses effects are:
1.The solar energy derives from the sun will heat up the earth weather and climate on surface because some of the solar radiation was trap in the atmosphere.
2.Greenhouse gases made up of carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, methane where this element been absorb by the atmosphere and increased the average global temperature on earth drastically.
3.Therefore some of the outgoing solar radiation was trap on earth.
As far as we know the greenhouse phenomenon is getting worse day by day. And many greenhouse gases occur naturally, such as water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. Meanwhile manmade greenhouse gases happen such as hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) result exclusively from human industrial processes.
The main contributions of greenhouse phenomenon are human activities which are:
1.Burning natural gas, oil and coal.
2.Farming activities and land clearing.
3.Industrial gases discharge from factories.
4.Deforestation.
5.Increased in population growth.
With all the human activities mention above, it will only bring more and more damages to the earth. In the end, our next generation won’t be able to enjoy the clean air mother nature can offer, and also clean and healthy environment.
Firstly as we all known the melting of glacier not only bring negative impacts toward the earth but also jeopardizes human lives on earth. The negative impacts such as animal habitat losses, fresh water shortage, minimize the ability to generate the electric power, and excessive flooding incident.
No doubt that the melting of glacier will effect the amount of fresh water storage, this is because almost all the water available on earth is contain 70% of salt water, which is unsuitable for human usage, and only 2% make-up of earth glacier. The sources of fresh water are from the melting water from glacier which flow into the rivers or lakes, and the melted water gets renewed as ice on the glacier went through a process known as precipitation. In addition many part of the world relay on this source to obtained fresh water. Therefore, the melting of glacier mass will only cause shortage of fresh water supply.
Next is the shortage of electricity. Electricity is important for our daily uses, and the demand of electricity is increased day by day as the human population increased. In order to generate this power source it needs constant flow of water from the melting water of glacier. And when the melting water from glacier is reduced due to the melting of glacier, certainly it will stop the production of electricity. Absolutely no nation can do without electricity, and this leads to adopt different sources to produce electricity, where most of them will pollute the earth, and possibly even help increase global warming.
Finally, the flooding incident occurred as a result of meting of glacier. Places with ice glacier on higher altitude and melting rapidly will bring the sudden increase of water input to the water causing flood all over the places. And this exceeds amount of water form a new lake where it size keep increasing and the bursting of such lakes could cause a major catastrophe all around, destroying everything in its path.
Hello again we hope everyone is in good condition and this time we would like to share one of the effect of global warming. As we all known global warming had effect our earth badly, and one of the obvious damage done by global warming is the melting of glacier.
Firstly, let us ask ourselves what is glacier. We are sure that most of you thought of ice or snow. Glacier is the formation of falling snow and remains in one location for a period of time in order to transform into ice. Therefore for over many it compressed into large and thickened ice masses. And what make glacier special, is their ability to move like water only it is in the form of ice, and due to sheer mass, glaciers flow like very slow rivers. Presently, glacier occupied 10% of the earth total land area, and most of it located near polar regions like Antarctica and Greenland.
Meanwhile due to the global warming, the beauty of glacier is slowly fading away, and jeopardizes million of people on earth. Glacier melting can cause droughts, floods, and lack of drinking water. Furthermore, animal species such as Royal Bengal tiger, Kittlitz’s murrelet and Coral reefsfacing the probability of extinct because of the melting of glacier increased the sea level. Sea-level rise affected coastal regions throughout the world, causing flooding, erosion, and saltwater intrusion into aquifers and freshwater habitats.
As the title shown above, have we ever ask ourselves what contributed to global warming formation. Generally we knew that global warming referred to the climate change that causes the average temperature of earth increases drastically. Global warming was occurred by many factors such as industrialization, humankind activities, agricultural, and also natural disaster.
Firstly let discuss about how industrialization contributed to global warming. Scientists believe that industrialization and development activities are the biggest threat to the earth, due to various of gases being released such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide (N2O), fluorocarbons and so on. Moreover the combustion of fossil fuels is heavily used to generate energy for industrial activities, which after that carbon dioxide was formed as a by-product and the released of carbon dioxide increased the greenhouse gases, and this leads to the accumulation of carbon in the atmosphere and, consequently to global warming, which rise up the earth temperature rapidly and more pollution.
Second biggest contribution after industrialization is humankind and agricultural activities. Activities such open burning, road transport and land opening. The demand of livestock and food like vegetables, cereals and fruits has increase therefore deforeststation occurred by cutting trees, and land open in order to breed these foods for human consumption.
Hence, with all the factors elaborated above, it all leads to our daily activities, whether we realized it or not, in other words we are the biggest threat to the earth, therefore we should educate ourselves about this issue and how to prevent it from getting worse.
